Mohammed Deif

Mohammed Diab Ibrahim al-Mari, known as Mohammed Deif, Abu Khaled, was born in 12.8. 1965 in the Khan Yunis refugee camp to a Palestinian family forcibly displaced from the villages of Kawkab and al-Qubayba during the 1948 Nakba. He grew up amid deprivation and poverty, in an environment imbued with the spirit of resistance, which contributed to shaping his political and military awareness.


An Outstanding Student and Talented Theatrical Artist. Deif enrolled at the Islamic University of Gaza, where he studied physics, chemistry, and biology and was one of the most outstanding students in his college. In addition to his studies, he was involved in artistic and theatrical activities, serving as head of the university's artistic committee and presenting numerous plays that addressed the Palestinian cause and resistance.
